The prophet of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
Husain is part of me and I am part of him. May Allah love those who love Husain. Husain is a tribe among tribes.
(Musnad Ahmad 17111, Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah 144) - Narrated from Imam Al-Waki'i - the teacher of Imam Shafi'i

iCAN daily hadith - Hadith An-Nawawi no. 10
Abu Huraira R.A. reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
O people, Allah is pure and He accepts only what is pure. Verily, Allah has commanded the believers as He commanded His Messengers. Allah said: O Messengers, eat from good things and act righteously, for I know what you do (23:51). And Allah said: O you who believe, eat from good things We have provided for you. (2:172)
Abu Huraira R.A. added:
Then the Prophet mentioned a man who traveled far, becoming disheveled and dusty and he raises his hands to the sky, saying, “O Lord! O Lord!” while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by the unlawful, so how can he be answered?

iCAN Rooty Hill unit organized a team get-together today over an outdoor breakfast. Community bonding is one of iCAN's key objective areas.
From: Tarek B. Chamkhi (Political scientist, Journalist and Media professional)
Thousands attended the rally in Perth on Saturday 16th September in support of the Rohingya people. Families from across Perth, both Muslim and non Muslim, were well represented with a number of community elders visible in the crowd. The peaceful demonstration hosted speakers from the Rohingya community as well as representatives from Christian, Jewish and Muslim organisations. In addition, human rights organisations spoke of the plight of the Rohingya who have had to flee their homes in an attempt to escape the genocide. The Greens called for the Government to take in some of the hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees, in addition to the funding that has been provided for assistance on the ground. The crowd gathered close around the speakers, listening intently and responding enthusiastically to the speeches. Congratulations and thanks are due to the organisers for putting together such a successful gathering at short notice and offering an opportunity for inclusive dialogue on this unfolding human rights crisis.
